Solidworks, CAM software and CNC Wood Router
WEBSep 12, 2014 · The CNC router manufacturers include the lowest end version of either Type3 or Artcam software with their machines, neither of which can take full advantage of the CNC wood router! I was advised by a Solidworks representative that either Mastercam or Solidcam are the best products as far a compatibility with Solidworks.
CNC Shark Pro, wood router review
WEBMar 6, 2009 · I don't have the Shark, but I do have the Larken 2424 Camtool. Full CNC router with a couple of upgrades. I also have the Vectric package. V-Carve Pro, Photo V-Carve, and Cut 3D. I will say that Vectric has about the best customer service and support of any company on the planet.

So strap in and expect to spend twice what you paid for the CNC to be able to cut projects. Then there is the usual things used in wood working which is finishing. So be prepared sticker shock for total cost of owner ship of any CNC machine.

WEBOct 2, 2021 · My old CNC Shark has an option for using a probe to make a 3D file by doing a grid pattern over any 3D shape. You can set how big the grid steps are, of course the smaller/tighter the grid the longer it takes to scan. The 3D grid mesh it creates can be saved as an .STL file if I remember correctly.
What is the average rate to charge for items carved on a cnc?

Most of my work is fairly small, from 8“ x 22”, to 12” x 24”. My cnc work area is 34” x 34”. I am tired of selling myself short.
