DOT approved windshield material? - Pirate 4x4
WEBMar 10, 2003 · Plexi is not UROC-legal because it shatters if you hit it hard. Lexan is a very different beast. Neither is DOT approved. Anything other than "safety glazing material" is illegal to install in a vehicle windshield application in California (not sure if it matters) but most other states don't have a law regarding it.

Then contact a Plastic Co. in Spartanburg and get a piece of scrap that is close to the right size , and a jig saw and cut it out. then run bolts through the metal & Lexan to bolt them together.

WEBNov 26, 2012 · Higher CCTs taken to an extreme increase glare and don't improve vision ( actually quite the opposite ). The optimal range seems to be ~4500K but 1000K on either side isn't that much worse. So to answer your question, white light of 3500K to 5500K works best for night vision, with ~4500K being optimal for most people.

WEBOct 24, 2011 · The down side to bedliner jobs is that if damaged it can be difficult fix with a exact color/texture match. They do also hold dirt and fade faster that standard paint jobs. A way to counter act both of those problems is to wipe a coat of 303 every now and again. Makes cleaning way easier and helps protect the color.
