WEBJun 23, 2010 · If you want to paint the intake, start with a DTM (Direct to metal) primer sealer, and base it with what ever color you decide, and clear, really not too difficult if you are remotly comfy with a paint gun! WEBApr 4, 2012 · D3VE Heads use a Bolt down Rocker. D2OE-AA or AB Heads use a Stud type Rocker. Change to a Stud mount Roller Rocker and Hardened PushRods and they're a bolt on (PI Heads use guide plates). If your D3 Heads are stock you should pick up 30-40 hp easy. More if you have performance upgrades done to your engine.

In most cases, its an improper scratch (the grit chosen is incorrect). The other thing with clear, is that the quality ones (BASF, PPG, etc) can be very expensive. Cheap clear is characterized by chaulking and deterioration.
