If you have flown on Lufthansa for a trans-Atlantic flight recently can you tell us about the check-in and boarding experience? We've looked over the Lufthansa Economy rules for baggage: One carry-on at 21.6"x15.75"x9" at 17.64 lbs and one personal item at 15.75"x11.18"x4" no weight given. (con...
Lufthansa has a track record of selling seats on flights that they subsequently cancel or later change the departure and/or arrival airports. This personally happened to me twice since 2022 when Lufthansa changed the departing Airport from San Diego to Los Angeles International on one pre-paid flight The airline also changed another ticket from its original destination of Hamburg to Munich ...
Lufthansa is in my opinion one of the best airlines in the world. I often fly LH because I have lots of United miles (they are partners with the Star Alliance) and also because my home airport (and yours), SFO, is a United and Lufthansa hub, therefore they together offer plenty of flights daily to Europe (via Germany).
Chances are your Lufthansa flight is code-shared with United, so you may be on a United plane going over and Lufthansa on the return. Check your reservation to see which airline is operating the flight. Premium economy gets you more leg room, and different headsets. Yes you still get pillows and there are blankets, if the plane is a United plane, your meal will be served on ceramic dishes with ...
My wife and I are going back to Europe next summer and, as I peruse airfares, I have come across flights listed under one airline (Lufthansa, Austrian) but "operated by" another (United, Air Canada). If memory serves from past experience, "operated by" flights means you get on that airline's equipment and deal with their personnel.
With Lufthansa Business Class, you’ll reach your destination feeling well-rested. Relax before your flight in the Lufthansa Business Lounges and then enjoy the first-rate service on board. The new Lufthansa Business Class seat can be converted into a fully flat bed that is almost two metres long – just the thing for relaxing during a long ...
Unfortunately, I don’t think there is any way that Lufthansa will be flexible and offer a refund. You need to look at the specific terms of the travel insurance or credit card coverage offered to see if this is covered. It sounds to me that in SJ’s case her husband was a travel partner and therefore named in the insurance policy.
Discover Airlines is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lufthansa. Lufthansa has turned some long-haul flying over to this "quality leisure airline" subsidiary, including Orlando-Frankfurt flights. As an aside, Lufthansa LOVES wholly-owned subsidiaries.
I know that I can retrieve my Lufthansa booking number from United to try and reserve the seats through Lufthansa directly. My question is- has anyone had recent success with this? I am paying extra through United to have free seat selection as this is important to me and my travel companions.
