I am 70 years old. Planning to meet my younger brother in Seville on June 11 after he and his wife complete the Camino Frances en junio. I will travel earlier on June 2, and was planing to spend 6 nights in Segovia and 3 nights in Toledo, while visiting castles (Alcázar de Segovia, La Mota, Peñafiel, Manzanares El Real, Coca).. I will rent a car, but I have no feeling for the time necessary to move around. Is it realistic to visit so many castles in so few days? Most of the castles send "head of the line" tickets... are there usually long lines to enter the castles? Is it worth the extra money for "head of the line" tickets? I visited Madrid two years ago. Some of the lines were terribly long, too long to wait. Can I expect this everywhere. And while I'm asking, would it perhaps be possible to book local guides "when" I get there, or do I have to schedule everything in advance and book guides now? Thanks.
