We booked the giraffe feed in June - think it was £20 for up to family of five, but was just the two of us. Lovely staff and you’re taken into an enclosed area by their field, but was a lot more people feeding than we’d hoped - think there was about 16 of us so you get divided into groups and take it in turns to have your own family time for about 5-10 mins with one giraffe - they had two giraffes to feed, a third wasn’t playing ball . You get given a large plastic pot with herb stalks - you hold one up at the designated high fenced area and the giraffe leans over and gently takes it - amazing long tongues. Little children were on parents shoulders feeding them, so gentle. My 30 yr old daughter loved it - I was taking the photos. So would definitely recommend doing it - not cheap but it’s memorable. Just be prepared to share the experience with others - we’d assumed it’d be a fairly exclusive thing to do. Nice moneymaker for the zoo though…
Q:
Are there any discounts for the deaf community?
A:
If you are accompanied by a carer/signer they are not charged, so long as you have proof of PIP or Blue Badge. I hope this helps.

Hi Sorry for the late reply, only just found your question. Carer goes free. I think we did the booking online but there is a huge entrance hall for buying tickets. You should have a lovely time albeit.a tiring one. Hope this helps. Lynda.
Q:
Is it possible to buy tickets on site at the zoo?
A:
Not sure. I think it’s best to buy online (sometimes it’s cheaper than buying on the door). Maybe contact them and ask. Julia
