Gatornationals 2023 Had an amazing time as alway's. Got to see alot of drag racing, and some of my favorite drivers. Will return next year for some night time racing. Full review by TheRobinsons57

We go every year for 10+years and love it, a NHRA member and all. Sadly this year was a total waste of money after being rained out last year and having to leave.Anyone going to Gatornationals beware… Full review by 627harrieta

This place is LOUD!!! Bring your hearing protection or be ready to plug your ears! It was out first time to a drag race. It was a cool day with the sun out and not a lot of guests in the stands. … Full review by DrHokie1983

Hi, looking to go for the first time to the Gator Nationals and have a few questions. What are the best seats besides box? How is the camping onsite? Are there any campgrounds nearby? And last, when do the 2020tix go on sale? Sorry for all the questions and TIA.

The camping onsite for spectators is ok. On grass, between paved roads. However, if it rains too much, you could be in standing water. No hookups, so if you don't have a generator, don't bother. Only water is inside the track, and I don't know if they allow spectators to have access to it. There is a campground not far from the track; however, I have no idea what amenities it has. It borders on N County Road 225, but entrance is on the intersecting road. We race, so I have only driven past it. NHRA usually releases the next year's schedule in July. Not sure when the tickets would be on sale. What you mean by "box seats?" Sometimes, sitting down track a bit will give you a better view of the entire race. There is also standing room at the fence; however, you wouldn't want to stand all day.

We plan on coming in 2017 to Gator Nationals. What's the closest best hotel to stay in for the races?

Hi Terri, Unfortunately, there are no hotels close to the raceway. You are going to have to stay on the other side of town, or possibly a little further out depending on which direction you're coming from. If it was me, my first choice would be the Hilton University of Florida Conference Center. It is only a little closer than the hotels at I-75 at Archer Road, but you would have a lot less traffic to deal with and still be able to utilize all the food options on Archer Road. Any of the hotels at I75 and Archer Road would also be fine and probably a little cheaper than the Hilton. It is a very good area and all of the hotels are fairly newer. I would stay away from I-75 at Newberry Rd, not that its a bad area, but the hotels there are a little worn out and lots of shopping mall traffic. There is also a Best Western up near I-75 at 39th Avenue, it is also newer, but there are not a lot of food choices near it. Unfortunately, most of the hotels here are on the western side of town and the raceway is on the eastern side. I hope this helps, and please feel free to ask if I can offer any other ideas.
