Wow! Gorgeous! The beach was so crowded when we were there but I was so happy just to be there and walk on the beautiful black sand. There is a little cave down there, so don’t forget to check it out… Full review by whiskeysix

The workers there are insane, and must be on drugs. They should be reported if they care about stuff like that in Hawaii. A female employee at the entrance was yelling, calling me names, cursing and … Full review by 336nastiav

Not by choice but ended up with an upgrade to a big fat Chevy Traverse not-so-minivan rental, and still made it just fine to Hana. What "helped" was 2 days before we drove it all the way around the north shore which was 8 miles of somewhat white knuckle single lane road, so by comparison, the occasional one lane to Hana (mostly on bridges) was a breeze. Even went 7 miles further to Charles Lindbergh's gravesite - a lot of one-lane road beyond Hana, but still worth it!
