Less than 2 miles toward downtown is an area referred to as “Lower Montrose”, near University of Saint Thomas and Rothko Chapel. You will find lots of vintage stores, artsy stores, and cute restaurants. You can find malls and chain stores in any city, but you can’t find many Texas cities with areas like this. Check it out.
My husband is a patient at MD Anderson. Does the museum have wheelchairs available or must we bring our own? Also, generally is the museum easily accessible? Are private tours available for people with some walking limitations? TIA

I would say that the museum in general is very accessible. I don’t know if they have wheelchairs, but it wouldn’t surprise me. I’m not sure how close you’ll be able to park, though ..
