At Anime Expo in Los Angeles over the weekend, Netflix revealed that its anime viewership has tripled over the past five years, while sharing new looks at 'Sakamoto Days,' 'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2,' 'My Melody & Kuromi' and other anticipated titles.

Netflix is betting big on anime, and it looks like the gamble is paying off. At this year’s Anime Expo in Los Angeles, the streaming giant shared just how popular anime has become on its platform , and it’s bigger than ever.

In the first half of this year alone, eight anime titles made the Netflix Global Top 10 (Non-English) List, including The Apothecary Diaries and My Happy Marriage. And 2024 marked a record-breaking year, with 33 anime titles appearing in the same list. This represents more than double the number of titles from 2021.
