Late this month, Asteroid 2024 PT5 will be passing so close that it will temporarily join Earth as what some are calling a “mini-moon.” The tiny asteroid will begin to orbit Earth starting Sunday, September 29 and will be around until November 25. At that point, it will return to an asteroid belt, revolving around the sun.
