World number one Aryna Sabalenka, has sealed her spot in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon 2025 after defeating world number 19 Elise Mertens in her round of 16 match. Earlier, Sabalenka and Elise used to feature in the women`s doubles category,

Sabalenka, the world No. 1 from Belarus, has not dropped a set this tournament. She is 3-for-3 in tiebreakers thus far and has qualified for her 11th consecutive quarterfinal in a Grand Slam.
