A tropical depression is likely to form as a tropical wave moves westward into the western Caribbean Sea later this week, the National Hurricane Center said.

A tropical wave over the central Caribbean Sea has the potential to develop into a tropical depression later this week. While the system is currently disorganized, favorable environmental conditions are expected to support its development.
