Soaking in the views of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad from the Liberty Belle at Magic Kingdom before this sight is lost forever when the Rivers of America closes permanently.

Walt Disney World is closing several iconic attractions beginning Monday to make room for a brand-new land. Frontierland's Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat at Magic Kingdom will shut down on July 7 as Disney prepares to bring a national park-themed area called Piston Peak to life.

Sunday marks the last day for the Rivers of America, including Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Belle at Magic Kingdom. The rides will close Monday as Disney readies the area for the new-look Piston Peak National Park, a Cars -themed miniland that the company discussed in detail last month.
