FBI Houston and the Harris County Sheriff's Office conducted a court-issued search warrant at a storage unit in north Harris County.

FBI Houston confirms that a “court-authorized law enforcement activity” was conducted at a storage facility on Monday night in relation to the New Orleans attack on New Year's Day.

FBI Houston, along with the Harris County Sheriff's Office are currently on scene conducting a court-authorized law enforcement operation.

The man named as the attacker in Wednesday morning's massacre on New Orleans' Bourbon Street that left at least 10 dead and dozens injured was Houston-area resident Shamsud-Din Jabbar. The 42-year-old was identified as the driver of the truck that plowed into the crowd of New Years Day revelers around 3:15 a.m.

Sources via NBC News have confirmed the man who was behind the wheel and accused of driving a truck through a crowd of pedestrians gathered to celebrate New Year’s.

Jabbar, who grew up in Beaumont and resided in a mobile home in northwest Houston, founded several now-defunct real estate businesses and carried a relatively small criminal record before his death.
