The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal collision between a MAX train and a pedestrian.

A person was killed after being hit by a TriMet MAX train in Northeast Portland on Tuesday, according to Portland police.

Transit police are on the scene to investigate. Traffic on East Burnside Street may be impacted for a few hours, the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office said.
