House Republican Rep. Buddy Carter is introducing a bill to have the three Democrats who "stormed" a Newark ICE facility stripped of committee assignments.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem on Tuesday accused three Democratic lawmakers from New Jersey of committing “felonies” while visiting an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in New Jersey.

Newark, New Jersey Mayor Ras Baraka was arrested Friday afternoon by federal agents at the Delaney Hall ICE detention center following a confrontation with officers from Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Organized clergy joined the fight against an immigrant detention center in Newark on Monday, when two dozen pastors, rabbis and leaders of faith-based organizations stood shoulder-to-shoulder against a barbed wire-topped gate where the city’s mayor was arrested three days before.
