President Donald Trump suggested "terrorist thugs" convicted of Tesla arson attacks serve decades at El Salvador prisons notorious for bad conditions.

President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador had previously offered to imprison convicted criminals from the United States in his country’s notorious prison facilities, for a fee.

Over the weekend, the Trump administration deported hundreds of Venezuelan migrants to El Salvador, where they are being held in a maximum security mega-prison called the Center for the Confinement of Terrorism (CECOT).
