Lewis Hamilton left Mercedes after 12 years to join Ferrari ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 season, and the seven-time world champion appeared to make a point with his fashion.

Lewis Hamilton’s former Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg has criticised his apparent fashion statement at at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Hamilton has now left the Silver Arrows after 12 years, and will spend the next two seasons at Ferrari alongside Charles Leclerc.

For Lewis Hamilton, his outfits at the Abu Dhabi GP mirrored the huge team switch he was about to make, but that did not sit well with Nico Rosberg. Abu Dhabi marked the conclusion of Hamilton’s 12th and final season as a Mercedes driver – Hamilton delivering an excellent recovery drive to P4 – with his multi-year deal to join Ferrari from F1 2025 already agreed ahead of the 2024 campaign getting underway.
