The premier of Canada’s most powerful province — and arguably the country’s most successful politician today — has gotten under Donald Trump’s skin again.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says the province will “pause” its U.S. advertising campaign on tariffs as of Monday so that trade talks can resume after U.S. President Donald Trump broke off trade negotiations with Canada over the ads.

U.S. President Donald Trump announced he would be terminating all trade negotiations with Canada after an anti-tariff ad by the Ontario government was broadcast to American audiences. In response, Ontario Premier Doug Ford said he will pull the ad Monday,

The ad that included comments made by former President Ronald Reagan about tariffs will stop airing on Monday "so that trade talks can resume."
