Snow continues through tonight. Current data has a 1 to 4 inch snow area wide by tomorrow morning. Tomorrow will be blustery in some towns with a west wind at 10-20 mph. Lake effect snow showers will be in the area. Locally over 2 inches of additional snow where snow bands persist. Afternoon temperatures around 30 degrees.

We’re giving you the First Alert to a wintry mix that will move into the region later today with hazardous travel possible inland.

Meteorologist Mike Slifer previews the forecast, which includes two more first alert weather days for wicked wind chills.

It’s another bitterly cold and breezy day in the Rochester region with Thursday morning’s temperatures hovering in the low 20s and wind chill values in the single digits. There is some snow on the radar,

Bitterly cold wind chills are expected today. Snow showers will leave a light slippery accumulation Friday night.

We have a couple chances for scattered snow over the next week or so, but snowfall will be fairly light both times.

If you’re tired of the cold and windy weather we’ve had lately, you’ll like the little break we’re getting this weekend. The wind will ease a bit overnight, but it’ll remain cold under a partly cloudy sky.
