The Trump administration is planning to drop recommendations that pregnant women, teenagers and children get Covid-19 vaccines as a matter of routine, according to people familiar with the matter.

A change in recommending Covid vaccines for children and pregnant women would circumvent an expert panel but please many MAHA fans.

As of April 26, about 14% of pregnant women and 13% of children had received the updated COVID vaccine, according to the CDC. In the U.S., three COVID shots have been authorized for use - Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech's/ messenger RNA based vaccines along with Novavax's protein-based shot.
