Early the next morning, authorities said they found her body near 100 Acre Island, a nature preserve in the middle of the pond. An autopsy later that day determined the 48-year-old woman’s death was a homicide.

WILTON (WGME) -- Maine State Police says a Wilton man was shot and injured by police after a standoff Friday afternoon. Police were called to 58 Cemetery Road in Wilton around 1:06 p.m. Friday after it was reported that 34-year-old Gabriele Wilbur of Wilton was threatening to shoot a male who was doing landscaping in the yard.
