The Oklahoma Sooners picked up another SEC series win with their 3-1 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday.
The Pittsburgh Steelers selected defensive back Robert Spears-Jennings in the seventh round (224th overall) of the draft. Spears-Jennings spent four seasons with the Sooners, signing with OU in the 2022 recruiting class, which was head coach Brent Venables' first at Oklahoma. The in-state product became a leader in Norman at the safety position.
Kendall Wells made history with her 35th homer of the season, while Gabbie Garcia drove in six runs as Oklahoma earned another run-rule win Friday night.
The Oklahoma Sooners went back-to-back in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft. After Robert Spears-Jennings went to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 224 overall, tight end Jaren Kanak followed his former teammate at pick No. 225 to the Tennessee Titans.
Other Sooners drafted so far are R Mason Thomas (Kansas City Chiefs, second round, pick 40), Febechi Nwaiwu (Houston Texans, fourth round, pick 106) and Gracen Halton (San Francisco 49ers, fourth round, pick 107).
