On September 27, 2024, Akriti Chopra, the co-founder and chief people officer of Zomato, announced her departure from the company after an incredible 13 years of employment.

Designated as senior management personnel, Chopra has tendered her resignation, with effect from September 27, 2024, Zomato said in a regulatory filing. She has been with the company for 13 years and played a key role in setting up and scaling Zomato's legal and finance teams in her previous role as CFO.

Chopra had been with the company since 2011, when she started as a senior manager of finance and operations. She later became the chief finance officer, a role which was taken over by Akshant Goyal in 2020.
