UFC 311 previously featured Islam Makhachev vs. Arman Tsarukan, but the latter of that main event was forced to pull out because of a back injury. Tough luck for the UFC and the fans; that main event would have been fun to watch.
This will be Tsarukyan’s first title fight in the UFC. The Armenian fighter has won each of his last four bouts, including a split decision win at UFC 300 over Charles Oliveira. Tsarukyan has a record of 22-3, with 14 wins coming via knockout or submission.
