The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has refused a request by the NHL’s Utah Hockey Club to trademark the name Utah Yetis.

The Utah Hockey Club pulled off a great game against the Minnesota Wild on Thursday to begin their three-game road trip, beating them 4-0 to get closer to the second wild card spot in the Western Conference.

Vejmelka recorded a 26-save shutout in Thursday's 4-0 win over Minnesota. This was technically Vejmelka's second personal shutout of the season, as the previous one was a 4-0 loss to Ottawa in which he stopped the 14 shots he faced after coming in as relief after Connor Ingram got the hook,

Utah was in Minnesota last night where they did the Jets a favour by defeating the Wild by a final score of 4-0. That was their third straight win which have all come against Central Division opponents.

The Wild were shutout at home 4-0 against the Utah Hockey Club. Despite each playing for more than 15 minutes on the ice, neither superstar had much of an impact on the game, Kaprizov only had 3 shots on goal, and Spurgeon with 0. The team in total had 26 shots on goal, and all were saved by Utah goalie Karel Vejmelka.
