Washington — President Trump underwent "advanced imaging" of his abdomen and cardiovascular system for "preventative" reasons, the White House said Monday, one day after the president told reporters that he had "no idea" what body parts his MRI covered during his October physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
In December 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump announced a Magnetic Resonance Imaging scan on his brain "found nothing." Trump did have an MRI scan in October 2025, but it was reportedly on his cardiovascular system and abdominal area, not his brain.
White House physician Sean P. Barbabella characterized the scan as "standard for an executive physical at President Trump's age."
During Jon Stewart’s monologue on “The Daily Show,” the comedian criticized Trump for saying he had “no idea” what was scanned during the MRI.
