Kansas received 44 of 62 first-place votes to remain No. 1 in the AP Top 25 men's college basketball poll, while Gonzaga and Auburn rose into the top five.

North Carolina fell out of the top 10 and dropped to No. 11 in the Coaches Poll on Monday after suffering a loss to Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse last week. The Tar Heels trailed by 20 points in the first half before flipping the switch down the stretch and nearly coming all the way back to knock off the top-ranked team in the country.
