The Gophers have climbed to No. 3 nationally after Jimmy Snuggerud led them to a sweep last weekend at Wisconsin.

Jimmy Snuggerud lofted a slick backhand saucer pass to freshman Brodie Ziemer, who batted it home for an overtime winner as the Gophers completed a two-game sweep of rival Wisconsin at the Kohl Center on Saturday night.

Brodie Ziemer batted the puck out of midair for the overtime game winner Saturday as the third-ranked Golden Gophers finished off a Big Ten Conference sweep at Wisconsin in men's hockey action from Kohl Center.

Freshman Brodie Ziemer scored in the extra session after Minnesota rallied from a one-goal deficit after two periods against Wisconsin.

Wisconsin went to the power play early in the second but Liam Souliere and the Gophers kept the game scoreless. After killing that penalty, Minnesota quickly jumped in front with a goal on its own power play, as Brody Lamb knocked home a Jimmy Snuggerud rebound.
