Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones promised that his team would be active during the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday and although he lived up to that promise, the Cowboys might have been better off if he didn't.

After superstar pass-rusher Aidan Hutchinson went down for the season, the Lions had a gaping hole on their otherwise Super Bowl-caliber roster. Detroit legitimately had everything except for a difference-maker off the defensive edge, a place that some of the other NFC powers (and the AFC’s heavyweights) could probably exploit in the postseason.

The Dallas Cowboys aren’t yet out of it, but they certainly need a doctor to report to the facility as soon as possible. Sitting at 3-5, the Cowboys are missing a ton of star power which in all honestly wasn’t helping them much when they were a more healthy team.
