People who buy any of Samsung’s 2021 QLED TVs will find a new Eco Remote in the box that’s made from recycled plastic and can be charged via the solar cells on the back.

Samsung already ousted battery replacements from its Eco Remote, adding a solar panel last year, and now it's upgrading the 2022 model with the ability to harvest energy from radio waves in the home.

Samsung's new TV remote, Eco Remote, harvests radio waves from nearby home routers as its energy source. It will be displayed at CES 2022 in Las Vegas this week.
