Firefighters in California are not only saving homes and humans from the devastating wildfires, they are saving our four-legged friends too. One dog rescue group is now uniting the community to help other animals in need.

The deployments are expected to last up to 14 days, with the possibility of extension based on operational needs and ground conditions.

On January 7, 2025, in Palisades, California, USA, @Calebserbanlawler shared a video of him rescuing a woman and her four dogs during the Los Angeles wildfire. In the footage, the author is seen on his way back when a woman runs up to him asking for help.

Los Angeles is battling five major wildfires, including the Palisades, Eaton, Lidia, Hurst, and Kenneth Fires. Over 180,000 people have been evacuated.
