CHANTILLY, Va. (7News) — A 3-year-old has tragically died after being hit by a truck on Saturday night, Fairfax County police said.

The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said it is investigating after a truck hit and killed a 3-year-old child in Chantilly on Saturday. According to the department, officers received a call about the child struck in the 4200 block of Airline Parkway,

The truck driver stayed at the scene of the deadly crash Saturday night on the 4200 block Airline Parkway, according to Fairfax County Police.

A 3-year-old in the roadway is dead after being struck by a truck in Chantilly, Virginia, Saturday evening. The child was “declared deceased on scene,” when officers responded to the 4200 block of Airline Parkway in the Meadows of Chantilly community before 6:30 p.m., Fairfax County police said.
