Mumbai: Mumbai Crime Branch on Friday alleged that the Bandra police did not take the knife attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan seriously, reported Hindustan Times. They further said that the police of Mumbai's Bandra area did not even promptly alert other units to nab the accused.

The person detained by Mumbai Police in connection with Saif Ali Khan's attack case has three to four criminal cases.

Even after almost 48 hours, the Mumbai police have not been able to track down the man who stabbed actor Saif Ali Khan in his penthouse at Bandra (W). The investigation has yielded no significant leads so far,

According to India Today's reports released by the Mumbai police, there was suspicious activity observed around Shah Rukh Khan's 'Mannat' residence on January 14, prior to the attack on Saif Ali Khan.

An assailant who stabbed Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan remains at large and nobody has yet been detained in the case, an Indian newspaper cited police as saying on Friday, contradicting earlier media reports that police were questioning a suspect.
