Authorities are searching for a suspected gunman who remains at large after a Friday morning shooting at the University of New Mexico’s student housing complex left one person dead and a second injured during orientation week.

One person is dead and another wounded in a shooting at a dormitory complex at the University of New Mexico. It happened in the early morning hours Friday.

A shooting Friday morning at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque prompted a shelter-in-place order after one person was killed and another was injured. The suspect remains at large and may still be on campus, the university said.
