The Philadelphia 76ers played host to the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday looking to pick up another win over another struggling opponent. The Pelicans entered the night with a 7-31 record and had just suspended Zion Williamson about two hours before the 7 p.

Whenever you think it can’t get much worse for the Sixers they do something like lose to the Pelicans, who are injury-ravaged and have the worst record in the West.

For the game, they will be without their best player, as 2023 MVP Joel Embiid has been ruled out. Embiid has missed each of the previous two games, so this will be his third straight out of the lineup.
