Zach Bryan is done staying quiet about his breakup from Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia and has plenty to say to critics.

Following singer-songwriter Zach Bryan‘s breakup with ex-girlfriend Brianna LaPaglia (aka Brianna Chickenfry), it seems some online users have been intent on trying to discover whether the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper has a new girlfriend.

Zach Bryan let out his frustration with the “sad and fat fingered internet sleuths” he said were attacking his friends online in a series of Instagram Stories posts. The messages also touched on his decision to step away from music and appeared to allude to the backlash spurred by his split with Brianna LaPaglia.

Zach Bryan has faced backlash since his split with Brianna LaPaglia in late 2024, with accusations of infidelity and online speculation fueling hate and criticism toward him and his acquaintances.

Zach Bryan called out social media trolls for “attacking and belittling my friends on the internet because you’re assuming I have a girlfriend,” he wrote in a lengthy statement on his Instagram story.

LaPaglia started dating “Something in the Orange” singer Bryan in 2023. After he announced their allegedly amicable split in October 2024, LaPaglia said on her “BFFs” podcast that she was blindsided by his decision and also claimed that Bryan disapproved of her Golden Globes outfit. (LaPaglia wore a sheer gown that featured a dramatic leg slit.)

"Go give your attention and time to the literal city burning down and stop being so sad and fickle and childish through screens," he wrote, referring to the LA fires.
