The Phoenix Suns are doing their best to remain contenders in the Western Conference and have been competitive under new head coach Jordan Ott. The Suns entered Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers with a 12–9 record despite missing guard Jalen Green for much of the year.
The Phoenix Suns fell short of stunning the defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder, losing 123-119, on Nov. 28 before a sellout crowd of 18,203 at Paycom Center. They won’t have to wait too long to see the NBA’s best team again.
Sacramento allows 124.4 points and has been outscored by 12.4 points per game. The Suns are 3-2 against the rest of their division. Phoenix is fifth in the league averaging 15.2 made 3-pointers per game while shooting 38.
Guard Grayson Allen has been upgraded from out to doubtful for the Suns' NBA Cup game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday.
