The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is warning that scammers are calling residents pretending to be part of the sheriff’s office.

According to a Facebook post from ECSO, authorities have been notified of an individual identifying as Sergeant Andrew Haver. The post said the individual was calling local citizens and threatening them with arrest unless they make immediate payments.

The Davidson County Sheriff's Office said that callers are reportedly claiming to be employees and asking for inmate bonds.

Telephone scams are circulating again in Sangamon County. The Sheriff’s Office warns residents of a caller identifying as “Deputy Craig Law” who said he works with the office. The caller then tells victims they have a warrant out their arrest and demands money to clear up the matter.
