Sharjah Cricket Stadium will host a three-match ODI series between South Africa and Afghanistan, starting today evening (September 18).

Rahmanullah Gurbaz hit a superb century before leg-spin magician Rashid Khan marked his 26th birthday by taking five wickets as Afghanistan thrashed South Africa by 177 runs in the second one-day international on Friday.

Former Afghanistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Shahzad hammered a total of six ODI centuries in addition to 14 fifties. Shahzad last played for the Afghans in 2019 since making his debut in 2009. In 84 ODIs, he smashed 2,727 runs at 33.66. He owns the 2nd-most fours in ODIs (323) by an Afghan batter. He also smoked 55 sixes in his career.
