After seven years with the Houston Astros, pitcher Ryan Pressly will be starting a new chapter in his MLB career. Pressly decided to waive his no-trade clause, paving the way for the Astros to send him to the National League for pitcher Juan Bello.

Ryan Pressly is the most decorated playoff reliever in Houston Astros' history, a former closer with 14 career postseason saves (most in franchise history and fifth most all-time) and a 17-inning scoreless streak across the 2022 and 2023 postseasons.

Alex Bregman remains a free agent, with the Astros and Cubs among potential remaining suitors for the third baseman. Chicago already has acquired two players from Houston's championship era in Ryan Pressly and Kyle Tucker via separate trades.
