Emergency crews responded to Gardner Lake Sunday morning for a deer stuck on the ice. First responders from Gardner Lake Volunteer Fire Company, Salem Volunteer Fire Company and Town Career Staff First Responders were dispatched to the lake.

The Brandywine Valley SPCA Animal Control team, D.C. police and D.C. Fire rescued a deer stranded on the Potomac River Thursday.
