The PC handheld space continues to grow, and the biggest of all is Acer’s new Nitro Blaze 11. As soon as I saw it announced at CES I knew I had to try and get it in my hands, at least for the sheer curiosity of “Will this thing even fit my hands?

At CES 2025, Acer is the latest manufacturer to unveil a Windows 11-based portable console. After announcing the Nitro Blaze 7 last September, the larger Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 will arrive in Q2 2025. Both systems run on AMD Ryzen 8040 Series CPUs with displays powered by the Radeon 780M iGPU.

As part of its CES announcements for 2025, Acer has announced new 11-inch and eight-inch versions of the Nitro Blaze. They’ll have the same internals as the previously announced

As for the MSI Claw 8 AI+, I absolutely love its design but it’s a bit too big for me and I wish the Claw 7 AI+ had that same two-tone color to it. My search for a potential handheld gaming PC continues but if MSI took a page out of Lenovo’s book at some point and made a Claw with SteamOS (with a colorful design), I’d certainly be intrigued.
