Grocery Outlet Holding has hired Jason Potter as the grocery retailer's new president and chief executive, effective Feb. 3. Grocery Outlet on Wednesday said Potter, 54 years old, joins from specialty-grocery retailer Fresh Market, where he was CEO from March 2020.

Brian Johnson, currently the specialty grocery chain’s chief operating officer, will assume leadership of the company on Feb. 3.
