The PC handheld space continues to grow, and the biggest of all is Acer’s new Nitro Blaze 11. As soon as I saw it announced at CES I knew I had to try and get it in my hands, at least for the sheer curiosity of “Will this thing even fit my hands?” The answer is yes — though, kinda just barely.

Acer's Nitro Blaze 11 also features impressive specs on paper, and its 19.95-inch screen features a 2560x1600 resolution, a.k.a. a 4K display, with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS with 8 cores, AMD Ryzen AI with 39 AI TOPS, and AMD Radion 780M for graphics.

The Nitro Blaze 11 launches in Q2 2025 alongside the smaller new Acer Nitro Blaze 8 ($899), which has an 8.8-inch 144Hz display; it omits its bigger sibling's detachable controllers, kickstand, and camera. Stay tuned for our full review.

At CES 2025, Acer is the latest manufacturer to unveil a Windows 11-based portable console. After announcing the Nitro Blaze 7 last September, the larger Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 will arrive in Q2 2025. Both systems run on AMD Ryzen 8040 Series CPUs with displays powered by the Radeon 780M iGPU.

The Nitro Blaze 11 will cost $1100 when it releases some time in Q2 2025. If you're interested in the same internal specs in a form factor less capable of bludgeoning a low-flying bird, it'll release alongside the Nitro Blaze 8: a smaller sibling handheld with an 8.8-inch screen and a $900 price tag.
