After Sealdah Court pronounced Sanjay Roy guilty in the RG Kar rape and murder case, Communist Party of India (Marxist) West Bengal State Secretary Md Salim alleged that more than one person is involved in the case and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) didn't move the case forward.

A special court in Kolkata, on Monday, sentenced Sanjay Roy, the sole accused in the case of ghastly rape and murder of a woman doctor of state-run R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital, to life imprisonment.
