Civil rights activists gathered outside the headquarters of Target Corp. on Thursday to call for a national boycott of the retailing giant over its decision to phase out its diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.

Some believe in boycoting the company of over its DEI policy change while others say this hurts minority businesses.

Community leaders in the Twin Cities are calling for a nationwide boycott of Target following its decision to end most of its diversity initiatives. The group held a press conference outside of Target's corporate headquarters in downtown Minneapolis on Jan.
