Nov 30, 2014 — Feb 6, 2018. #6. The Squier Vintage Modified Thinline Tele has 24.75" scale. I have no idea why, but it feels weird! To me, one of the things that defines a Fender guitar (along with a 6 a side headstock) is the 25.5" scale. Mess with that & you change the feel, the sound, & you take away some of it's innate Fenderyness (if there is such a word).
