The monsterverse has continually improved there. KOTM was panned by the GA because while it had cool monsters, the action was choppy af, had tons of cuts to the human plotline that nobody gave a fuck, rainy battles where you couldn't see the monsters properly and tons of screentime into characters the audience didn't care about.
